Timothy Bradley won the WBO Welterweight Champion of the World against the pound for pound king Manny (Pacman) Pacquiao. That epic fight ended Pacquaio’s seven year winning streak and made Bradley the fourth boxer to defeat the legendary fighter.
With the controversy and uproar surrounding the 2012 fight, both fighters are thirsty to prove that they are stronger than the other.
For Bradley, winning this fight will finally get the “respect” that he felt wasn’t given to him after his 2012 victory. With a two-fight win streak against Provodnikov and Marquez with experience to back him up, Bradley boldly claimed that he will outsmart, outwork, and ultimately defeat Pacquiao again.
However, Pacman said that he will no longer be a “nice guy” this time and he will have his revenge against Bradley to take back the Welterweight Belt that he lost. Freddie Roach (Pacquiao’s coach) commented that if Bradley thinks that he already figured Pacquiao out, then he is in for a very big surprise.
The upcoming fight is highly anticipated and is creating a huge buzz for boxing experts, enthusiasts, and netizens. The rematch is career defining for both boxers. For Pacquiao, this is not only a fight to win back his title, but in many respect, his last stand to define his career and prove that his “fire” is continuously burning.
Comments on his last fight is that though he won, its lacklustre, “too safe”, and his trademark ferocity has faded since people are expecting for the big knock out. Bradley even pointed out the he already lost his killer instinct, and Pacquiao is set to prove him wrong.
